Kapili Roofing Gives Back: Our Lady of Sorrows
Kapili Roofing Company is pleased to include Our Lady of Sorrows Church in our 15th business anniversary celebration. Our Lady of Sorrows will be receiving one of 15 automated external defibrillators (AEDs) as part of our Give Back season.
In the past, Kapili Roofing has donated many free roofs to homeowners in need. This year, to commemorate our 15th year in business, we decided to take a different approach in extending a helping hand to others. It is our hope that our donated AEDs will continue to serve our community to those in emergency situations.
Celebrating 15 Years of Roofing Excellence and More
It has been so humbling to provide much-needed roofing services to our customers in Hawaii. We are proud to live, work, and volunteer in the community and look forward to many more years of service. That’s why we started exploring other ways we could benefit others, especially in urgent times of need.
Years ago, we came to realize that many public institutions on our island do not have emergency medical equipment, such as AEDs, that could help to save a life. We have experienced this situation first-hand with a loved one, where a lack of access to medical equipment became a worst-case scenario. But we have also seen how powerful an AED can be during a cardiac event.
We want to ensure no one else experiences a moment where they can’t provide AED assistance to someone in need, which is why we’ve chosen 15 organizations on our island to receive a free AED. In this way, we can continue serving our community with assistance where it’s most needed.
Why We Chose Our Lady of Sorrows
Our Lady of Sorrows church is located in Wahiawa. They are one of the few churches in our neighborhood open 24 hours a day to serve others. Offering multiple Mass services each week and doing additional community outreach, the church is an embodiment of what it means to be a servant leader.
Its centralized location in a heavily populated area, along with its commitment to others and the high volume of people the church connects with each week, makes it a great location for an AED. With the church being open 24 hours a day, more people will have access to this life-saving equipment. If we can save just one life, it will all be worth it.

Building a Better Community
Our roofing company has been family-owned and operated for its entire existence, and we don’t take that honor lightly. It’s a business we’re proud of. We look forward to coming to work every day because of the strong ties we have with this community and how each of our team members makes a difference.
Thank you for your support over the past 15 years. We look forward to serving you for many more years to come.
