Kapili Attends BIA Big Home Building and Remodeling Show!

Kapili Solar Roofing recently attended the BIA Big Home Building and Remodeling Show on April 29 - May 1, hosted at the Blaisdell Center. This is one of the biggest shows in Oahu in our industry, and we’re pleased to have been able to attend to engage with local homeowners, network with sponsors, meet important guests, and continue to provide you with best-in-class service.

This year’s attendance was an extremely big deal for us, as many long-time vendors were not able to attend due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions. Many vendors were placed on waitlists due to a remapping of the exhibit hall floor plan. We were fortunate to grab an early bird spot at this event because we know the value it brings to our business, our customers, and the community at large.

About BIA Big Home Building and Remodeling Show

The BIA BIG Home Building & Remodeling Show is a semi-annual tradeshow event here in Oahu. The event typically draws more than 10,000 attendees each year in search of local licensed contractors, suppliers, and vendors. April 29 was the big Opening Day ceremony, where we had a blessing of the event and its exhibitors.

Each exhibitor must be in compliance with Hawaii state laws and be reviewed and vetted by the BBB, Consumer Affairs, and the Department of Commerce for customer issues and complaints. In other words, exhibitors must maintain a high standard of excellence in order to attend.

Until recently, the event’s future was unknown due to the ongoing pandemic. However, event organizers decided the show must go on this year and decided to host the in-person event. The major benefit of moving forward was that attendees were more discerning about their choice to participate. There were more serious homeowners, buyers, and vendors and fewer curiosity seekers. This allowed us here at Kapili Solar Roofing to make deeper connections with the attendees we engaged with, have longer and more impactful conversations, and showcase our expertise. 

Why We Exhibit at BIA

BIA is a unique event in that it brings together industry leaders, contractors, suppliers, vendors, and home and business owners under one roof. It affords networking opportunities that connect customers with contractors in order to find best-fit relationships for needed services. In fact, we meet many of our Kapili roofing customers right here at BIA. 

However, this event is more than just lead generation to us. It gives us a stage of sorts where we can showcase our expertise in the industry. We’re sharing all of the latest advancements in roofing, new materials and processes we’ve learned about, and best practices for home and business owners. Because ultimately, repairing or replacing a roof starts with you. 

We’re here to provide value and guidance in whatever way we can. Sometimes, that means consulting with you about a problem or issue you know you have. Sometimes, it means putting new options on your radar, like integrated solar roof panels, that you didn’t even know existed. And sometimes, it means being responsive to your needs by scheduling an on-site consultation as soon as possible.
